Angela, Blake and Erika Skelton stopped in this morning to see Emma. We know the Skelton’s through our daughters music school and the youth orchestra.

Sarah, Rachel and Blake all play together in a string quartet also, along with Katelyn Sand.

Aaron Johnson stopped in while the Haleys were here. Aaron is a friend from Parish Presbyterian Church, where we’ve been attending now for several months, and plan to join soon.

Aaron loves babies and jokingly suggested I send this picture to his wife. I did, with a subject of “Uh Oh” and message body that said “He wants one.” her response came back “Not even funny, dude!”

Nathan, Kevi and Stone Haley stopped in to visit this evening. We know the Haleys from Travel soccer too – Stone is an excellent defender for Zachary’s team.

Larry and Jill Riffel stopped by to visit Emma, and I got pictures of them. Amy has known the Riffels for a couple years now due to Sarah, and now Rachel too, being part of the Williamson County Youth Orchestra. Larry is President of the WCYO board, and their son Nicholas plays viola.

I’ve gotten to know the Riffels better myself since recently being invited to join the WCYO board.

We know the Staffords from Zachary’s travel soccer team. Their son Chandler is the team’s primary goalkeeper – and a very good one.

Alice stopped by today to see Emma, and I took this photo of the two of them. Thanks for the baby clothes and balloons Alice!

We’ll miss you guys when you move to Memphis, but we’re looking forward to seeing you at the Superclubs tournament in May.

Amy’s parents came down early yesterday to be with the other kids, and also to see Emma of course. Here are pictures of them with Emma.

Unfortunately, for the moment the only picture I can post are from my iPhone. If I remember to grab a card reader from home or the office, I’ll be able post some better pictures taken with a 21 megapixel Canon 5D Mark II.

Emma Faith was finally born at 5:19 p.m. Central time. She weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces, and is 20.5 inches long. She’s beautiful. Both mom and baby are doing well. Visitors are welcome.

We’re heading into the homestretch now. Hopefully the next post will have Emma’s picture.
